USA Gun Crime: Final Major Project
Client: Student project
Year: 2013
︎ Featured Infographic project on Behance, 18 June 2016.
For my final major project at university I undertook a research-based project looking into the 2013 current affair issue of gun laws in the United States.
My final outcome was a billboard campaign aimed at the American people that showed them unbiased facts about gun crime in the USA. I took the patriotic symbol of the national flag and turned it into a much darker symbol that was the basis for a set of infographics showing three different datasets on gun crime: murders, robberies and assaults. The visuals were produced using data obtained from the FBI.
I also used the software 'Processing' to generate a zoomable map that showed the data in a geographical context.
