Not For Rental: Charity Exhibition
Client: Little White Lies Magazine call for submissions
Year: 2013
Not For Rental is a unique art event in aid of the hard-working charities Macmillan Cancer Support and Art Against Knives, an attempt to raise awareness and support for issues that are affecting people we care about.
The brief was to design VHS sleeve artwork without mentioning the film name on the cover. Each [empty] box would then be auctioned off for charity.
My typographical submission took a quote from the film ‘Blade Runner’ which was rendered to look like folded strips of paper that make out the words. This was a nod to the character ‘Gaff’, who made paper origami animals throughout the film.
The exhibition took place:
4 July – 13 July 2013
71a Gallery, London EC2A 4QS
Mon - Sun. 10am - 6:30pm
